Lagavulin bottled for the Islay Jazz Festival 2015 at natural cask strength 55.4% abv. A blend from refill American oak casks and European oak bodega casks 🥃🥃

I saw Pat Metheny a few times. Once in Hong Kong in 2016, it was a fantastic show as part of the Jazz World Live Series. A week later I was in Florence outside the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore having a beer and a couple next to me started chatting. The guy actually was also at the Pat Metheny concert in HK, and to boot, he was originally from Palmerston North. Small world indeed.

The last time I saw Pat Metheny was in Madrid in 2018. I almost missed this show as I was carrying a DSLR camera and they wouldn't allow me inside, and there were no lockers. In the end, after much delay and angst, one of the kind securities offered to keep it for me. That was a fantastic outdoor show.
