Jeff Beck Group released on this day 1st May in 1972, a vintage year if I must say so. This is the 4th and final album from the Jeff Beck Group, and often referred to as the Orange album.

Jeff Beck replaced Eric Clapton as recommended by Jimmy Page in The Yardbirds in 1965. After leaving the band, he formed the Jeff Beck Group in 1967. Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood were in the initial band that broke up in 1969. The group reformed in 1970 and included the legendary Cozy Powell on drums.

In less than 3 months after the release of this album, the group officially disbanded. Jeff Beck went on to front Beck, Bogert & Appice.
