Notes - This is a seasonal Autumn 🍶 and should be the 1st time Tedorigawa comes out with a sparkling 🍶 and it is 1 of 2 that they released this year. It is brewed with a new type of shuzo kotekimai 🌾 from Ishikawa, Hyakumangoku No Shiro. At 14% ABV and a genshu, it makes it easy for genshu lovers without the usually higher ABV %. Tedorigawa also took a lot of effort in the bottle design by using a velvet type of label for this 🍶.

The 🍶 opened with gas rushing out due to secondary fermentation in the bottle. After which you need to cap it back and start swirling the bottle in a slow and gentle fashion to mix the slightly cloudy content within the 🍶 to achieve a reminiscent of a snow shower which is just the right thing to do specially in December when Christmas is near. The tiny stream of bubbles and the residual 🍚 circling in the bottle makes looking at it very soothing. Bursty and flavorful in the mouth resembling sipping on calpis soda that is largely infused with fruits. A slightly sour and yet refreshing taste helps to make this 🍶 very interesting and awakening. Despite being a nigori and a sparkling 🍶, this 🍶 is not as sweet as one would have imagined and it is actually on the medium dry side which is typical of Tedorigawa 🍶 profile.

A nice 🍶 that is just good for the Christmas and New Year holidays and could probably magically transport one’s mind to countries like Finland or Iceland. Now available at my favorite sake bar in Singapore @oriharasg
