Notes - Another great offering from Mimurosugi and this time their Junmai Ginjo brewed with 100% King of Sake 🌾 , Yamadanishiki. Smooth and delicate and with lots of ginjo aroma enveloping the whole mouth. The sensation is like biting into a ripe and juicy 🍈 for the first time. Very refreshing and light body which makes this 🍶 very enjoyable especially in hot weather. Medium sweet taste and low acidity which is the typical characteristic of Yamadanishiki 🌾 polished to 60% and as such would cater to many first timers of🍶. This 🍶 is also super easy and smooth to drink and I’m sure many like me would be able to finish the whole bottle in an evening.
As the 🍶 is slightly on the sweeter side, I would actually pair it with fresh Hamachi carpaccio or Tatami Iwashi. Why Tatami Iwashi is because it has a slightly salty taste which will be nicely balanced out by the 🍶. The Mimurosugi Roman series is quite appealing as it caters more to the modern type of 🍶 lovers like myself and could be rank among the top brands in terms of their offerings. 👏 👏 👏
