Overall - Ordered an isshobin bottle of this sake while dining at a restaurant. Always find the name very interesting and have wanted to try. Since the restaurant is doing a promotion, why not right? This sake is light to the nose with hints of citrus aroma. Both of lemon and grapefruit. Had it chilled and served using an o-choko. First taste and I can smell the beautiful fragrance of steam 🍚. As the brewery is from Hokkaido and they always advocated using local 🌾 in their production of sake, this sake is made with local Hokkaido Kitashizuku 🌾. Being a tanrei karakuchi, you might expect it to be quite dry but I think the dryness is somewhat just right for this sake as it balances the length and body of it. With medium umami, it is easy enough to pair with our dinner which consists of nin niku gohan, chicken karaage and stir fried beef cubes with garlic. I simply love how this sake balances the strong garlic taste of our food so that you do not feel that you keep eating 🧄. Highly recommended for people who have not try a dry sake before.
Overall, this is a good sake.
