Notes - It is my first time trying 梵 although I have heard so much good reviews about it. At Katoukichibee Shouten, 🍶 is still hand made with the traditional method using only 🌾, rice koji and 💦 without adding any extra additives. Only Yamadanishiki 🌾 through contract farming from the special area A in Hyogo and Gohyakumangoku 🌾 from Fukui are used for their 🍶 brewing. As for their brewing 💦, it is from subsoil 💦 drawn from a 184m deep well.

Full and robust on the tongue with complex texture. Aroma of dried apricot enveloping the mouth. Medium acidity and finishing off with a smooth tangerine sweetness. Food pairing was done with local pork satay (meat on skewers similar to Yakitori) and the 🍶 goes really well with the smoky charcoal grilled flavor of the satay. With such a robust texture, the 🍶 actually helps to bring out the meatiness and sweetness of the meat without removing the smoky taste. A complex and yet easy enough to drink on its own without any pairing.

Overall, this is an excellent 🍶. 🎉 🎉 🎉
