Johnnie Walker Taps Indian Couturier Rahul Mishra For Limited Diwali Box Design

Johnnie Walker is partnering with acclaimed fashion designer Rahul Mishra to launch a new limited-edition design for Johnnie Walker Blue Label, just in time for Diwali.

Set to arrive this September, this new release is said to unite the craft of Johnnie Walker Blue Label with the artistry of one of India’s most celebrated design voices. The limited-edition design was designed to symbolize "bright beginnings," with Mishra drawing inspiration from native flora and fauna, which he describes as "blooming flowers and spirited animals." The intricate bottle also features a bright festive night, symbolizing future abundance and joy.

Rahul Mishra is the first Indian fashion designer invited to show at Paris Haute Couture Week, and known for his embroidery, mastery of color, and dedication to slow fashion, "mindful luxury," and supporting local artisans.

His design for the Johnnie Walker Blue Label bottle and packaging pays tribute to India's rich cultural tapestry, honoring rituals, celebrating connections, and welcomes the festive season.

Crafted by a small team of whisky makers led by Dr. Emma Walker, only the sixth master blender in the brand's almost 200-year history, each bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label comes from 1 in 10,000 casks from the reserve of over 10 million maturing Scotch whiskies.
