Solas Hops and Grains Brown Porter Rye River Brewing Co
Not a brew I've ever encountered before, this dusty bottle was one of the last few on the shelf as everyone stocked up for the COVID19 lockdown. It bears little resemblance to the "light coffee" or "dark fruit" infusd porters it claims to be, but is solid nonetheless and certainly a "journey to the dark side of malt". Not too bitter and with rich strong toasted malt flavours, this is like a strong ale more than a modern porter and it's definitely one to savour. . @tescoirl rocks!
