Deceptively smooth for a beer that's over 6.5%, the claim to contain real cocoa sounds like a lazy attempt to impart flavour but actually works wonderfully. Delightful on the nose, this is instantly reminiscent of dark chocolate and the flavours then add cocoa and malty depth. One of the few stouts that I still sometimes encounter from Thornbridge's excellent experimental 2019 range.
