Ledaig 2005, aged 7 years, Specialty Drinks Ltd (SMS), Greek Label. Sherry butt, 162 bottles.
Nose: honey, but my nose felt the 59.2% abv... alcohol notes dissipated with the tall glass chamber.
Palate: intense, jesus-christ-mother-of-god, all types of wood dominate, no fruit, light black pepper spice, smoke.
Finish: moderate, super strong wood, smoke intensifies with time, very strong, dry. It's like strolling through a leafless forest...
I'll be honest, I got more scared with each drink. Intense. Barkeep warned me it was "harsh" and "rough", and it definitely was! Each sip was literally like swallowing a stick of wood, douglas fir, oak. Intriguing, but I don't think I can do this one again...
