Lagavulin 12yo, b.2015, 56.8% abv.
The 15th release of the laga 12 in Diageo's Special Releases.
Nose: a lot of peat, major wood, with longer deep breaths I get a fruit element similar to golden apple.
Palate: wood, peat on the mid palate, major peat and major wood on the back palate. After a few sips I get some honey on initial taste and purple grape concentrate juice on the way-back palate.
Finish: long, wood and peat, a bitter-sourness lingers for a very long time.
Quite intense! Major wood and peat, the sweeter, fruity elements weren't as strong in this rendition of the Lagavulin 12, they were actually very light. Had this at Sweet Jane, Seoul, South Korea.
