Imperial 1997 Devilman, 1st Fill Ex-Bourbon Barrel #102370, Go Nagai 50th Anniversary, Whisky Mew, 51.5% ABV

Yummy. First '97 Imperial, but have tried a few '95s. Waxiness not as strong at the 95s I've had. Floral without being nauseating, subtly sweet.

Tasting Notes

Nose: waxed green apple skin, jasmine

Palate: Kiwi, honeydew rind

Finish: apple juice, touch of candle wax with a clean smoke

I think a solid 89. Nose is slightly reticent.
