The former "part" owner, Osamu Futakata, used to work at Netz Toyota and would come help his wife (she's the real owner) run the bar after work. Supposedly, Futakata-san had a passion for sport cars and whiskies, thus a special bottling series inspired by sports car parts company Endless.

Nose: red fruit juice, honey, smoked purple grapes? has a prickly note.

Palate: initial and mid palate is honey, back palate has a young tofu, feint hints of smoke.

Finish: medium, honey.

A typical sweet dram, majority of the flavor resembles non-citrus fruit juice. It was nice to have a hint of smoke on the backend, although very light. Could not tell it was a sherry butt though, seemed more typical bourbon barrel, but then again I feel "butt" barrels are too big to have an impactful effect on the flavor profile. Happy V-day!

Grade: C+
