Tapas Bar Carlitos's New Weekend Brunch Club Boasts Free-flow Sangrias, Cava

The popular Joo Chiat tapas bar is kicking off year-end festivities with brunch menus featuring free-flow sangria, cava and beer packages.

Tapas Bar Carlitos is celebrating the end of year festivities with the launch of Carlitos Brunch Club, a brand new brunch menu available every Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am to 3.30pm. Carlitos Brunch Club’s new Sharing Brunch Menus, priced at $48++ and $68++ per person include Salmorejo, a cold tomato velouté served with a diced hard-boiled egg and a drizzle of aromatic chive oil and Huevos Estrellados, a sunny-side-up egg served with fries and Serrano ham.

Nestled away in Joo Chiat, Carlitos (a term of endearment meaning “little Carlos” in Spanish) aims to transport the vibrant streets and flavors of Barcelona to Singapore.

The new brunch menu features mains such as the Roast Beef Sandwich with slices of carne asada and Angus striploin, paired with confit shallot and mustard sauce. There is also the Paella Pan of squid ink rice with cuttlefish and fresh clams.

The larger menu includes a Spanish Charcuterie Board with Ibérico ham Joselito, chorizo Ibérico, and Manchego cheese, as well as Carlitos’ signature Cochinillo, a roasted suckling pig served with green apple compôte and Rioja wine jus.

Dessert options include a Basque burnt cheesecake with sangria sorbet; or homemade churros with a side of Valrhona chocolate for dipping.

A La Carte Options Abound

An A La Carte menu also exists for those wanting to spend a little alone time! Notable dishes include the Pan con Tomate, traditional slices of Catalan ciabatta topped with Spanish oxheart tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.

Seafood lovers will also surely rejoice with the signature Gambas al Ajillo, succulent Atlantic prawns with garlic and chilli oil on sourdough, or other snacks like the anchovy skewer Gilda Pintxo, Pimientos de Padrón (Padrón peppers with sea salt), pickled anchovy dish Matrimonio.

For a heartier option, there is the Macarrones Ibéricos, homemade penne with secreto Ibérico and savoury Manchego cream, or perhaps the Botifarra de Pagès, a dish of Catalan pork sausage with sauteed white beans and bacon.

End on a sweet note with dessert Crema Catalana, a Catalan crème brûlée with Marie biscuits and cinnamon ice cream.

Add on a two-hour Free Flow Beverage package at $58++ per person for endless pours of red and white sangria, cava and beer, as you load up on the delicious fare and soak up the unlimited good vibes of Carlitos Brunch Club.
