Overall - Third time trying a Jikon but this time is the Jikon Omachi muroka nama Junmai Ginjo. Made with 💯 % Omachi 🌾 which is the grandfather of all sake 🌾 , this sake is full of fruity aroma which consists of grapefruit, 🍒 and 🍈. First taste and I find that it is smooth and refreshing and with a slight fizziness to it. The taste and umami are light which is typical of a Jikon style sake that I have tried so far. The body is medium with a short tail which compliments the medium sweetness and taste of the sake. As this is a nama sake, it needs to be drank chilled at around 10c and to finish the bottle in 1 go so as to maintain the freshness and taste of it. Due to the smoothness and lightness of this sake, it is easy to pair with most food especially typical Japanese cuisine that consist of agemono, sashimi and ichiya boshi using fatty fish. I also find that this sake is a good starter to begin with if you are intending to drink more than 1 bottle for the night. It pave the way for more full bodied and drier sake as the night goes by.

Overall, this is an excellent sake.
