Overall - Have always wanted to try Bijofu 🍶largely because of the Chinese name “美丈夫” which laterally translate to Beautiful Husband and something which I’m striving to be. Interestingly, this is a Ginjo 🍶 which is not easy to come by in 🇸🇬. First 👃 is full of fruity aromas which consist of 🍌 and 🍑 with a slight hint of vanilla. This 🍶 is made with Matsuyamamitsui 🌾 which is locally grown in Ehime and not those usual Yamadanishiki or Gohyukumangoku which makes it unique. With a light body coupled with a medium length that lingers at the back of your throat, there is no hesitation for a second, third sip. Being medium dry, it balances the fruitiness of the 🍶 which one will mistakenly think it should be medium sweet due to the strong fruity aroma. The fruity aroma and light tasting makes it easy enough to pair with most food. I had it chilled in a wine glass paired with Japanese Oden and Eihire. When I asked the manager for a wine glass instead of the usual 🍶 glass, I have had at least 7 pairs of 👀 looking at me. Honestly it’s easier to capture all the aromas by drinking from a wine glass. And OMG the Japanese Oden and Eihire and this lovely🍶was finished in no time. Time for another bottle. 😂
Overall, this is a very good 🍶
