Octomore Edition 18 Brings New Sassy Barley, Romanian Oak And Highest Ever 309.1 PPM

Bruichladdich's beloved super peat monster, Octomore, is slated for a 2027 release of its 18th Edition that is already teasing a couple of exciting new features across its four expressions, Octomore Edition 18.1, Octomore Edition 18.2, Octomore Edition 18.3 and Octomore Edition 18.4!

Octomore Edition 18.1

5 Years Old, 59.8% ABV, 80.0 PPM

The Octomore Edition 18.1 is aged for 5 years in a combination of Bourbon, Dechar and Rechar Bourbon, and is distilled with a new Sassy barley varietal from the Scottish Mainland. It is peated to 80.0 PPM, and is bottled at 59.8% ABV.

Octomore Edition 18.2

5 Years Old, 58.8% ABV, 80.0 PPM

The Octomore Edition 18.2 is aged for 5 years in a combination of Languedoc and Bordeaux wine casks, and is distilled with also the new Sassy barley varietal from the Scottish Mainland. It is peated to 80.0 PPM, and is bottled at 58.8% ABV.

Octomore Edition 18.3

15 Years Old, 56.7% ABV, 309.1 PPM

The Octomore Edition 18.3 is aged for 15 years in a combination of Bourbon, Languedoc wine casks and European Oak, and is distilled with the Oxbridge barley varietal from Church Field, Octomore Farm on Islay. It is peated to a whopping 309.1 PPM, and is bottled at 56.7% ABV. This is the highest recorded PPM for Octomore, tying the Octomore Edition 8.3 (5 Years Old) which was also peated to 309.1 PPM - this makes the Octomore Edition 18.3 the most aged, most heavily peated commercial whisky ever produced!

Octomore Edition 18.4

14 Years Old, 56.2% ABV, 156.0 PPM

The Octomore Edition 18.4 is aged for 14 years in a combination of Bourbon, American Whiskey, Bordeaux and Romanian Virgin Oak casks, and is distilled with the Concerto barley varietal from the Scottish Mainland. It is peated to 156.0 PPM, and is bottled at 56.2% ABV.
