Hyogo’s Iconic One Cup Ozeki Gets Upsized With New Ramen-Inspired One Cup Mashimashi Karame Sake

Hyogo-based Ozeki - creator of the iconic One Cup Sake - is launching a "One Cup Mashimashi Karame", a new Sake inspired by the ordering culture and intense flavor customization of Japanese ramen shops.
"Mashimashi Karame" is a popular ordering method at some ramen shops, combining "mashi" meaning extra toppings, and "karame" meaning stronger flavor.
To that end, the enlarged 300mL format and potent 18% ABV represent the double "Mashi" (extra-large/extra-strong), while the crisp, dry finish delivers the "Karame" (extra-spicy / salty) edge.
Made with domestic rice and rice koji, the expression is said to have a premium dry profile that delivers a robust and deeply satisfying drink. The wrapping on the bottle is also inspired by the design of classic ramen noodle packaging.
To mark the launch on Nov 9, Ozeki is hosting an exclusive giveaway on its official X account from Nov 9 to Nov 23, 2026.
Thirty lucky winners will be selected at random to receive a special pairing bundle featuring four bottles of "One Cup Mashimashi Karame" alongside "Chibakara Ramen", the exact dish spotlighted on the label's back for the ultimate flavor match.
