America's Bourbon's Own Whisky Supplier MGP Ingredients Rebrands As Sempreon, To Adopt Stock Ticker CASK

Effective Nov. 2, Atchison, Kansas-based MGP Ingredients will rebrand as Sempreon, and shift its Nasdaq ticker symbol from MGPI to CASK.

Best known for its enormous Lawrenceburg, Indiana distillery, (which produces a fair amount of all the whiskey in the U.S.), the new corporate identity will unify the company's branded spirits, contract distilling, and specialty ingredients divisions under a single overarching banner.

The Sempreon name is derived from “Semper,” Latin for “always,” and “Aion,” the Greek word for “eternity,” said the company.

According to the company, the name change reflects its expansion beyond core contract distilling, consolidating its three primary business divisions under a unified corporate brand.

The company's new guiding phrase will be “Tradition Looking Forward”, with its stated mission as “Creating moments that matter. Building a legacy that lasts.” It says has plans to retain the MGP and Lux Row names for its distilleries as it adopts the Sempreon corporate brand.

Sempreon will encompass three business segments: Branded Spirits, Distilling Solutions and Ingredient Solutions.

Branded Spirits includes the company’s portfolio of owned brands that span bourbon, whiskey, tequila and other categories, with notable labels including Ezra Brooks, Blood Oath, Lux Row, El Mayor, Exotico and Everclear, in addition to Penelope, Yellowstone, Rebel and Remus.

The producer is also stepping up its direct-to-consumer whiskey lineup with the recent launch of MGP Chapter One: Out of the Shadows, a 10-year-old, 111-proof straight bourbon released under the core company brand.

On the other hand, Distilling Solutions provides production services to spirits companies, including distillation, aging and blending, with MGP’s Lawrenceburg distillery having supported more than 1,000 American whiskey customers since 2012.

The Ingredient Solutions division manufactures specialized food-grade components—including wheat proteins, starches, dietary fibers, and texturized proteins—for commercial food producers.

The strategic shift comes amid significant headwinds in MGP's contract distilling operations. In the second quarter of 2026, revenues from the Distilling Solutions segment's bulk whiskey business plummeted 59% to $29.2 million.

To mitigate the impact of rising barrel inventories and broader industry deceleration, the producer has actively throttled back output and pivoting toward consumer brands and reorienting its identity with the aim of navigating the widespread demand slowdown currently reshaping the American whiskey landscape.
