
Jigger & Pony Group has announced the launch of their new concept POP CITY X PONY, a cocktail-first bar created in collaboration with the House of Suntory.
The menu is set to embody Japanese artistry and creativity, blending what the brand calls "familiar flavors with unexpected twists". Each drink is designed after each of the four seasons, simultaneously evolving sip by sip, revealing new layers of taste and texture.
For the uninitiated, Jigger & Pony Group is the team behind Singapore's Jigger & Pony (No. 3 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 and No. 9 in The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025), as well as acclaimed concepts Gibson, Live Twice, and Jakarta's Cosmo Pony.
The new concept will be designed by Peter Sillings & Associates, with a venue the brand has said blends Japanese artistry and urban energy, all inspired by the music, fashion, and subcultures that define modern Japan.

The name itself is also inspired by the optimistic fusion of '80s City Pop. The "POP" provides levity against the ambitious movement of the term "CITY", while "X Pony" anchors the experience in Jigger & Pony Group's brand of hospitality.
The brand has said that the bar will be envisioned as a sort of cultural living room where craft meets culture, and where hospitality is as important as design and flavour.
Four distinct zones invite guests to express themselves differently: Byōbu Bar is anchored by a folding screen back bar and antique mirrors while Bar Mixtape offers intimate, secret listening sessions inspired by Tokyo’s Golden Gai bars
Meanwhile, Tasting Commons serves as a lively hub for daytime storytelling and nighttime DJs; and the After Hours Salon provides elegant, laid-back comfort for winding down with a nightcap.
Bookings for POP CITY X PONY are open 2 weeks before its grand opening on Wednesday, 26 November 2025.
