I’ve forgotten where I bought this bottle, save that it’s from 2021. But really, there’s no need to age these.
This, together with Founders Porter, is a beer that I’ll always have available in my home. It’s just that good. Unlike the porter, it’s got loads of adjuncts — chocolate and coffee (do flaked oats count as an adjunct? Yes, right?) — yet it never comes across as over the top or cloying. They’re just two sides of the dark and delicious coin.
