A rare oatmeal in the land of smooth dry stouts. This is the only Wicklow Wolf variety I've tried to date and it's a good standard-bearer for the brand. Little noticable aroma, the beer is smooth and roasty with coffee-like flavours before the slightly astringent aftertaste from adding oatmeal to the brew kicks in. It has more bitterness than is typical for the genre but is a full-bodied and solid stout nonetheless.
