Hyde Park Swizzle:
While I’m on the topic of Phil Ward and @deathandcompany, here is another of his recipes. Obviously drawing inspiration from the swizzle of the Queen’s Park Hotel, this one is named after the famous park in London.
—————
2oz GIN (@hendricksgin)
3/4oz FRESH LIME JUICE
3/4oz SIMPLE SYRUP
2dashes ANGOSTURA BITTERS (@angosturahouse)
2dashes PEYCHAUD’S BITTERS (@peychaudsaperitivo)
7-8 mint LEAVES
—————
•Add mint, gin, lime, and syrup to collins glass and lightly muddle
•Place a barspoon (or swizzle stick if you have one) into the glass before filling with crushed ice
•Twist barspoon between the palms of your hands to “swizzle” the ingredients
•Top with more crushed ice and the bitters
•Garnish with mint sprig
