Lucien le Moine Griotte – Chambertin Grand Cru 2013

Lucien Le Moine Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru 2013 at @park90winebar. 96 points.

On the nose, very expressive - intense perfumed red cherries, sweet baking spice, clove, star anise, perfumed spices, hints of sweet cola, sarsi, mint, menthol, sweet baking spice. Very intoxicating perfume.

On the palate, fresh red zingy cherries, raspberries and cherry liqueur envelop the palate at the start, leading to a complex and weighty mid palate of sweet spices and herbs - aniseed, cola, sweet almonds, refreshing sweet herbs, and with a sweet long finish with hints of savoury herbs at the end, rounded. Silky tannins, great weight, and great complexity and intensity in flavour, yet well integrated.

Drinking beautifully. Sweet finish.
