Westland Sherry Wood, 46% abv.

Westland Sherry Wood, 46% abv.

Westland is considered a craft distillery from Seattle, Washington, USA. The mashbill supposedly consists of Washington Select Pale Malt, Munich Malt, Extra Special Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Brown Malt and matured for a minimum of 26 months in ex-Oloroso Hogsheads and Butts, ex-Pedro Ximénez Hogsheads and Butts, Cooper's Select New American Oak, and Cooper's Reserve New American Oak.

Nose: major honey, wood, wax.

Palate: smooth, initial palate is wood, mid palate is very sweet, major honey, black cherries, with time the old wet steamed lotus leaves dominate.

Finish: short, light honey.

Dry glass: wax and honey.

Very sweet, alot of honey on this one. Its pretty good for what it does, general sweetness, but I'm not sure if I would relate it to sherry.

Grade: C+
