Whisky Reviews

Royal Brackla 24 Year Old, 1993-2017, The Whisky Hoop, Bourbon barrel no. 6802, 45.6% abv.

Why does Japan have many of these membership to access bottlings?

Nose: peaches, gasoline, peach perfume, light stale pear juice.

Palate: light body, smooth, initial palate is a little sharp, mid palate has bread crumbs, steamed stone fruit residue, apple and pear juice, malt, sesame, bread, back palate is a lighter version of the mid palate but I detect some light smoke. Water makes the smoke come out, or is it pastry?

Finish: apple and pear juice, soaked bread.

Pretty plain, nothing too special, does present malt and light pear juice, so different from what I expected. Water made it so much better. I expected more from Whisky Hoop.
