Got a sample of this and forgot to take pictures, thus the stock picture from whiskybase. Infrequent flyers seemed to have come and gone... what happened? I wonder who thought of ageing their juice in Chinquapin oak?

Nose: rich dark red fruits but not of the sherry type, some chocolate?, and burnt toast.

Palate: full body, balanced, initial palate is a pretty thick fruit jam, mid palate has a good amount of red fruit juice concentrate approaching the levels of fruit jam, back palate has that sherry and perhaps red wine cask flavor set... but I don't know what exactly red wine casks impart to a malt.

Finish: short to medium, red fruits, red fruit jam on toast, red fruit popsicle.

Nice Brackla, great fruit jam flavors, and pretty balanced, but there is a lack of flavor diversity. I appreciate the fruit jam delivery, it is however hard to distinguish from other sherry type Scotches.
