This is part of the American Trilogy collection, where Garioch distillate was aged in casks made from Kentucky, Missouri, and Minnesota oak. Poured from a sample of a Glen Garioch tasting in 2022. Wonder what Kentucky oak is?

Nose: light red wine or perhaps a pinot noir, the red berries, gooseberries, white currants, and pomegranates accentuate with time, black cherry seltzer, quite fruity. Good.

Palate: medium body, initial palate is a light syrup, no real fruits yet, something like a tinid tequila, mid palate has fruit and chocolate chip but more fruit, elements of earth and wood on the back, but the wood seems to grow with each sip, back palate shows some burnt wood, chocolate oil poured over poorly made egg custard, moldy creme brulee?

Finish: medium to long, chocolate cough syrup, bad coke, chocolate covered green grapes, very light prunes... like Dr. Pepper without the prune juice but with an addition of cough syrup.

Man all these American trilogy casks do not drink like 61%. Fruitier than the 1363 Missouri and not as strange as 1355, and still better than a majority of sub-10 year Scotches. Sort of like a less intense tequila, more on poorly made dessert.
