VinGo Wine Platform Soft Launches With Series Of Exclusive Wine Events: November 2024

VinGo Asia will soon arrive. It is a new online platform aiming to become the region’s first comprehensive wine resource. Think of it as your one-stop shop for all things vino, connecting wine distributors and restaurants with a proprietary platform that streamlines ordering, simplifies logistics, and even offers next-day delivery. On the consumer side, VinGo promises to take the guesswork out of choosing the perfect bottle with AI-powered personalized recommendations.

They’re even lending a helping hand to new wine brands entering the Singapore market with the VinGo Incubator, and for those in the trade, VinGo Comms offers Singapore’s first wine-focused PR and marketing agency. Talk about covering all bases!

To mark its soft launch, VinGo is pulling out all the stops with a series of events aptly titled "Expertly Curated: VinGo’s 3x3 Prelude." Taking place every Thursday to Saturday across three weeks in November, these events promise a heady mix of renowned wine personalities, delicious food and wine pairings, and engaging discussions designed to tantalise even the most discerning wine consumers. Sounds like a great excuse to clear your calendar!

Week 1 (7 to 9 November) kicks off with "Ask Me Anything" sessions featuring some of Singapore’s top sommeliers: Gerald Lu, President of the Sommelier Association of Singapore, Lesley Liu, Head Sommelier of Odette, and Reuben Khew, Sommelier of Restaurant Zen, will be on hand to share their wisdom and answer all your burning wine questions.

Featured Wines:

  • 7 November: Xige Estates, distributed by Winekool
  • 8 November: Parea Estates, distributed by Criadera Concepts
  • 9 November: Grounded Wine Co, distributed by Fermented SG

Week 2 (14 to 16 November) shifts the focus to the art of pairing wine with wagyu. Participants will have the chance to experience firsthand how different wine styles can enhance the flavours of this prized beef.

Featured Wines:

  • 14 November: Champagne Telmont distributed by Remy Cointreau
  • 15 November: Couvent des Jacobins

Week 3 (21 to 23 November) takes a peek behind the scenes with "The Business of Wine," a series of mini-panel discussions offering insights into the commercial side of the wine trade.

Each mini-panel will be moderated by Jaclene Liew, Founder & CEO of VinGo, and feature industry heavyweights like Ronald Kamiyama (Managing Partner and Sommelier of Cicheti Ventures) and Joey Mayton (Owner of Fermented). Topics up for discussion include wine collecting and storage, investing in a wine business, and building a profitable wine list. Seems like essential knowledge for any budding wine entrepreneur!

Featured Wines:

  • 21 November: Hither & Yon and Bekkers, distributed by Criadera Concepts
  • 22 November: Wines by Fermented SG
  • 23 November: Wines by Winekool

Canapés and Refreshments

Throughout the events, guests will be treated to delectable wagyu canapés curated by Sam Chua, CEO of Black Cow, and paired with a selection of wines carefully chosen from partner importers like Pivene, Fermented SG, Criadera Concepts, Winekool, and Telmont. Liebherr WKb 4612 Barrique wine cabinets will be used for storage.
