Tokyo Confidential Debuts 'Konbini Confidential' Menu Reimagining Japanese Convenience Stores In Liquid Form

Tokyo Confidential has unveiled its newest menu - Konbini Confidential - inspired by the lore of Japanese convenience stores.

The announcement marks the fourth menu for Tokyo Confidential, following in the footsteps of concepts Neko No Densetsu and Second Base.

The Confidential Noodle.

Many drinks fall in the savory, more umami realm, such as the Confidential Noodle, a Cup Noodle-inspired highball with bourbon, awamori, mango, corn and a house noodle packet blend, served in a custom 3D printed mug.

For Mom’s Spaghetti, the intention was to ensure the key elements of ketchup and vegetables and made sure they came through, and has been hailed as a "liquid version of Napolitan spaghetti" by Bar Manager Waka Murata.

The Melon Pan.

On the sweeter end of the flavor spectrum, the Melon Pan is a funky and fruity mix inspired by the sugary bread treat with custom made melon pan flavored Doburoku, TC’s house Butter Up Sake and rum.

The Night Hopper is a take on a Grasshopper inspired by sweet kombini treats with rum, kusu, pandan, cacao, mint, cream and cookies, while the Always Sunny in Azabu is a refreshing smash inspired by the summertime favourite mikan popsicle with gin, Mikanshu, Yakiimo shochu and citrus.

Give Me A White Wine Sprizer.

Give Me A White Wine Spritzer is TC’s nod to the plethora of grape-flavored treats at konbinis with vodka, Calvados, Sherry, pisco, Niagara wine and Champagne.

Beyond the signature konbini-inspired creations, the menu features a selection of everyday convenience store staples like highballs and chu-hais. Guests can also order from the beloved TC Classics lineup, which includes the Cantonese-inspired Cheung Fun Old Fashioned and Only Fans, a playful take on the Pornstar Martini.

Non-alcoholic options include the Tokyo ‘86 with non-alcoholic gin and rosé wine with perilla, and hojicha or jasmine Saicho Sparkling Tea. Alongside TC’s beloved Fernet Branca on tap, the bar has added draft Guinness to its lineup

“I love creating cocktails inspired by food, so this menu was a lot of fun to work on,” says Waka. “Whenever I create a cocktail based on a dish, I first break it down into its core ingredients, then figure out how to translate each of those elements into liquid form.”

The drinks are accompanied by Tokyo Confidential’s signature "glizzies" menu, featuring a selection of hot dogs that pay homage to the bar’s different cocktail eras. Guests can opt for the feline-inspired CatDog—loaded with cream cheese, bacon bits, and green onions—or stick to the classics with the Game Day Dog, topped with mustard, ketchup, and crispy onions.

For lighter grazing, the bar offers a variety of savory and sweet nibbles. The snack lineup includes bags of free-flow popcorn, a classic cheese plate, and assorted small bites alongside a curated snack plate featuring smoked nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate.
