This limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky pays tribute to Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, the birthplace of The Macallan’s cask journey. In this storied city, sherry-seasoned oak casks undergo a meticulous maturation process, forming the essential foundation for the exceptional whisky that emerges.

The whisky opens with enticing aromas of honey-coated Pestiños, sweet raisins, cinnamon, anise, vibrant citrus, and rich oak.

Flavor
The flavor profile features pastry, grapes, and anise notes, inspired by Pestiños, a traditional Jerez pastry made with sugar, aniseed, and honey. The palate is rich, sweet, and smooth, with a welcoming finish.

Overall Impression
With an ABV of 43%, this whisky captures warmth, vibrancy, and celebration in every sip.

Capturing Jerez: Art, Heritage, and Craftsmanship in Every Detail

For this expression, Macallan has collaborated with Jerez-born artist María Melero to create an artwork inspired by her memories of the festive season in Jerez. The outer design features a crimson sky, vivid sunset, and sherry vineyards dotted with roses—symbols of protection for the vines. Inside, traditional azulejos tiles showcase icons of celebration, including casks, stills, oranges, and vine leaves, creating an immersive unboxing experience.

María’s memories within the design first unfold with a crimson sky and a vivid sunset, casting a red curtain over the year. Below, sherry vineyards rest peacefully, bordered by rose bushes that serve as early warning signals, alerting winegrowers to potential threats before they spread.
