Your favourite manga or anime character may be spotlighted in a cocktail at Sora Bar's new Alchemy of Anime menu!

Sora Bar, perched on the rooftop of Rosewood Phnom Penh, has launched their new bar menu that draws inspiration from the colourful world of manga into a culinary and cocktail experience. Under the creative vision of KT Lam, Bar Manager of Phnom Penh, the menu features the adventures, traits and symbolism of manga characters, incorporating Japanese heritage with the dynamic, forward-looking spirit of Cambodia. 

“We wanted to create something extraordinary that speaks to the soul of Japanese manga while celebrating Cambodia’s evolving identity. Every drink on this menu is more than simply a cocktail—it’s a character brought to life in a glass," says KT Lam. 

The new Alchemy of Anime menu was a collaborative effort by the bar team, making sure that the spirit of the manga character was captured in the cocktails, from flavour profiles to presentation. "This menu is a testament to the teamwork and artistry that defines Sora Bar. From conceptualizing the character-inspired cocktails to refining the balance of flavors, our team truly embraced the challenge of transforming imagination into reality," says KT Lam. Each cocktail and dish has its own story, blending Japanese flavours with Cambodian ingredients.

Mind Reading

"This cocktail is inspired by a character in the manga who likes to eat peanuts. We created the cocktail in a whisky sour style, mixing whisky, peanut butter, banana vermouth, miso caramel, and lemon, garnished with homemade mochi peanut butter."

Ichigo Punch

"This cocktail is inspired by a character int he manga who enjoys drinking strawberry milk. We created it in a milk punch style, mixing cognac, local cacao, strawberry, dark chocolate, Campari, cashew, lemon and yogurt, garnished with homemade daifuku." 

More about Sora

Sora translates to "sky" in Japanese, the highest sky bar in Phnom Penh with an expansive view of the city. The bar offers 12 signature cocktails that feature native Cambodian ingredients, inspired by Japanese mythology and stories.
