Martell announces its homage to the Year of the Snake with L’Or de Jean Martell
Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Serpent. A rare masterpiece with a strictly limited release of 500 individually numbered bottles, the 2025 edition evokes the mysticism of the serpent with rich nuances in a reimaged crystal decanter by French cristallerie, Baccarat.
A Unique Blend Honoring the Snake
With each Zodiac Edition, Martell Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud builds on the essential and exquisite character of L’Or de Jean Martell while highlighting the qualities of that year’s zodiac animal.
This year, the L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Serpent is designed to evoke enigmatic characteristics of the snake from start to finish. According tot he brand, the liquid opens with notes of citrus and soft spices, in reference to the snake’s delicacy and finesse. With gentle agitation, a swirl of the glass reveals notes of mild tobacco and precious wood mix of cedar and walnuts as fruitier dimensions evolves towards rich nuances of candied fruit, fresh blackcurrant and quince marmalade.
A Decanter Made in Collaboration with Baccarat
Martell collaborated with renowned French crystal manufacturer Baccarat to create a distinctive decanter. The crystal vessel of the decanter takes the shape of a single, pure drop of cognac, crowned with a red crystal stopper modeled after a serpent’s head.
The decanter's neck is adorned with 19-carat gold, engraved with a snakeskin motif and the individual bottle number. The design is completed with a gold-tone pedestal finely engraved with tiny scales, while the entire piece is presented in a striking red cabinet featuring an interlaced snakeskin pattern. A drawer within the cabinet houses a booklet detailing the story and concept of this exceptional release.
Housed in an elegantly designed red case adorned with an interwoven snakeskin pattern both inside and out, the decanter is set atop a gold-tone pedestal intricately etched with delicate scales.
Exclusive Launch in Singapore: 10th - 12th January 2025
In Singapore, the expression will be unveiled with a pop-up – The Golden Age Journey: L'or De Jean Martell - Assemblage Du Serpent – on the weekend of 10 - 12 January 2025 at 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Rd, where visitors will get to immerse themselves across five elemental zones for a comprehensive journey through the makings of release, with opportunities to taste Martell portfolios and cocktails.
