Praelum, a distinguished wine bistro, offers an extensive selection of wines, with its options rotated weekly. Here, wines are sold by the glass using Coravin wine systems. Guests can indulge in a selection of classic reds, whites, beer, and champagne.

This week, the bistro will host 爱中国 (Love China), a two-part special happening on the 23rd Nov 2024, which wine and food tastings aimed at giving further insights into some of China's best wineries! 

Praelum 爱中国 - A Casual Walkabout Tasting

One of over 200 active wineries in Ningxia, China. In recent years, wines from Ningxia have won multiple international wine accolades!

The first segment of this two-part event on 23rd November ( 1-6PM) presents exclusive tasting opportunities featuring Chinese wines from provinces such as Xinjiang, Ningxia, and Hebei, in a casual walkabout settings. These wines have all been sourced from acclaimed producers. In collaboration with Spicy Moments Human Bistro, a restaurant adjacent to Praelum, guests can enjoy light Hunan-style snacks, paired with their wine selections.

Gerald 爱中国 - A Communal Dinner Experience

Meet Gerald Lu, two-time National Sommelier Champion and President of the Sommelier Association of Singapore, and now the co-founder of Praelum Singapore for the past 12 years!

Kicking off the evening is a communal dining dinner experience featuring signature Hunan dishes in partnership with Spicy Moments Human Bistro. The menu highlights six favorites of Gerald Lu, two-time National Sommelier Champion and President of the Sommelier Association of Singapore, discovered during his harvest trip to China. These dishes are paired alongside selected wines, including the Devo MV03 Brut 2021, a sparkling wine from Ningxia, and the Tasya’s Reserve Aglianico 2018, a reserve wine from Shanxi.

There are separate prices for both experiences. Prices for the Praelum 爱中国 session are $75 ++ per pax, with a limited vacancy of 40 seats. Prices for the Gerald 爱中国 experience are $130++ per pax, with a limited vacancy of 25 seats.
