BoozyChewy Barrel Aged Craft Beer Tasting Session at The Jungle Boy: 22nd April 2023

 

Taste a range of rare craft beers on Saturday, 22nd April 2023 3pm at The Jungle Boy café-bar! 

The intimate tasting session would be conducted by Singaporean craft beer retailer BoozyChewy, that specialises in importing beers from exclusive and most hyped breweries in the United States.  

Each participant would be provided a tasting set of 9 beers – at least 7 of which are punchy stouts aged in some of your favourite American whiskey and bourbon barrels! Whiskey lovers be warned!

Description of Beers offered:– 

 

1. Troon TIPA

(Bonus brew)

2. Honey Pot Bottleshare Hero B3

A decadent blueberry mead with vanilla and maple syrup. 

3. Modern Times Chaos Grid: Double Coconut

A blend of bourbon barrel-aged stouts layered with toasted coconut.

4. Corporate Ladder Double Barrel Pretense of Knowledge

Part of Corporate Ladder's Financial Series, this Imperial Stout was aged in Elijah Craig 19 (yes, 19 years old) barrels and then Stagg Jr. barrels for 25 total months of maturation before being conditioned on toasted and raw coconuts and even hazelnuts.

5. Side Project Beer.Barrel.Time 2022

Side Project's barrel-aged Imperial Stout that had been aged for at least 17 months in ex-Pappy Van Winkle, Willett Family Estate and Eagle Rare bourbon barrels. Whiskey and bourbon lovers watch out for this one!    

6. American Solera Lizard Bites

American Solera's Lizard Bites barrel-aged Imperial Stout had been aged for 14 months in rhum barrels before being conditioned with coconuts, hazelnut, vanilla and marshmallows for added decadence.  

7. Dimensional Aibohphobia

An Imperial Stout aged for 22 months in an Old Forester Bourbon store barrel and a Blaum Brothers Bourbon barrel and then rested on toasted and raw coconut, honey roasted peanuts, & peanut butter.

8. Boiler Double Barrel German Chocolate Cake Batter

This is created by aging Double Mashed Russian Imperial Milk Stout for nearly 2 years in a combination of 11-Year Heaven Hill Bourbon and 18-Year Willett Bourbon Barrels. It was then conditioned on a heavy-handed dose of toasted organic coconut, Papua New Guinea vanilla beans, and a virtual mountain of Finca Chimelb, ABOCFA, and Öko-Caribe cacao nibs.

Expect substantial barrel spirit accompanied by notes of creamy coconut anglaise, bourbon-soaked marshmallows, fudgy ganache, and layer after layer of warm chocolate cake.

9. Pips Black Currant Pancake Mead

Pops Meadery's Black Currant Pancake Mead is naturally conditioned with Costa Rican vanilla beans, cinnamon, Wisconsin maple syrup and aged in ex bourbon barrels.
