Yahatakawa Nigori Barber Pink
ABV: 15%; RPR: 70%
Rice: Chusei Shinsenbon
Prefecture: Hiroshima
First bottle in Japan at @masukou_sakasho
A beautiful first choice sake made from red yeast, which gave it this beautiful pink color. This bottle opened with some good effervesence.
You can pick out the fruity aromas of strawberry and lychee when you first smell this.
The slight fizziness balances off with the general thicker nigori/rice-ish.
As the sake started to warm up, in this cool pre-autumn weather, the flavors of the sake also started to develop.
Well-balanced and a pleasant surprise from a Hiroshima sake. Nothing too sweet.
