As fresh as it gets! The latest release from @koueigiku did not fail in terms of expectations and is definitely one of my favorite breweries. It was also when I visited @kokushubar last year I chanced upon their previous version of the Kamenoo rice variant.

On the nose, you get herbal notes with mellow fresh grass. And on the palate, you get some sweetness on the front.

This then transforms to a herbalish, earthy depth on the tongue, with an acidity that’s just nice which balances off the flavors in your mouth.

Even as the sake warmed up, the flavors retained it’s integrity… and as @alexdrinkscraftsake puts it “it’s a flawless sake.”

Best served in a wine glass so you get to experience the different layers of this medium-full bodied sake.

It did not fall short of expectations and it’s a sake that I can definitely drink all night, with so many layers and that subtle complexity. Beautifully elegant. 😋 美味しいね！
