Every so often, you come across a sake that’s so genius that just makes you yearning for more.
-
First thing @alexdrinkscraftsake said when I got seated was, “I got something I know you’ll like!”
-
A doburoku that was made from a stock, where dashi, umeboshi and katouboshi (bonito flakes) was used.
-
Have it cold? Or have it warm?
-
Is it an alcoholic beverage? Or is it a ramen soup? Maybe it’s porridge(ochazuke)?
-
I only know one thing. It was right up my alley and it hit the spots I was looking for. It’s heartwarming.
-
You get a slight cheesy aroma, but you also enjoy the aromas of the umeboshi and bonito. Have it warm, and the dashi and umeboshi aromas stand out a little more.
-
It’s savoury, leaving you wanting for more. Which I did. 😋
-
And of course, in true @omunomu.sg style. Very limited bottles and you’ll probably never see this again unless you make a quick trip to Tokyo.
