Kinmi Kunisaki 55 Junmai Muroka Nama Genshu
ABV: 14%; RPR: 65%
Rice: Gin no sato
Prefecture: Oita, Kyushu
First chanced upon this sake during the first sake matsuri in 2023 after a long day when a friend offered it to me.
It definitely made my eyes open wide as it hit the spot and my general preference for MNGs and its aromas of steamed rice and yogurt.
It has a very pleasant, sweet-sour/acidic off-dry finish. The sweetness doesnt bring itself out when you first take a sip, but it lingers in your mouth.
Overall, while slightly complex, still a very easy, medium-bodied sake. I find myself drinking more and figuring out the flavors with each sip…
