Here’s one to a beautiful bottle of Kagura from @matsui_sake.brewery@sakestreet.sg for a very special occasion. I can also understand why this deserves a Platinum from the Sake Challenge awards.
I got very strong aromas of 🍓🍓🍓and some good tropical notes of peach/pineapple. With a good acidity and earthiness to hold this sake together, with a nice medium finish.
While the Iwai rice tends to be on the sweeter side, the earthiness and crisp finish makes this for easy and enjoyable drinking without being cloying at all.
Who doesn’t love a bottle of Kagura, right?
