Overall - No. 5 out of 5 bottles curated by Orihara Shoten. This is a limited edition sake by Kagatsuru and is a Daiginjo grade polished to 40%. Made with Yamadanishiki 🌾, first👃 and the sake is full of fruity aroma of 🍌, 🍑, 🍏 with slight hint of cream cheese. The taste and body is light but with medium umami. The medium length compliments the umami and makes the sake smooth and rounded. It has a slightly dry flavor and a smooth taste down the throat and one can enjoy the fruity fragrance while sipping it. This sake tends towards the Kun-shu category and is good to pair with light tasting food in order to enjoy the aroma of this sake. I paired it with freshly sliced sashimi and some traditional Japanese pickle vegetables and the sake elevated the freshness of the Hon Maguro Akami. This sake will also make a good combination with thinly sliced carpaccio, lightly torched beef slices and Japanese 🍢.
Overall, this is a good sake.
