These are 2 specialty aged sakes. Miyanoi 28BY (left) from Hyogo and Asahi Kiku 24BY (right) from Fukuoka.
BY stands for Brewery Year. The number follows the Japanese era system, which counts the years of the Emperor’s reign. 28BY is 2016 and 24BY is 2012.
They were both served warm to us which we loved. It’s difficult to come by aged sakes these days. Beautiful!
