Fast rising Yuza Distillery is releasing a limited edition Japanese single malt in collaboration with Asahimachi Wine Co, a Red Wine Barrel matured whisky that will be marketed under the Yamagata Prefectural Liquor Wholesale Co.

With the collaboration, Yuza Distillery used red wine barrels from Asahimachi winery that have been used for at least 3 years to mature its whiskies. The expression is dedicated as a Yamagata Prefecture special and demonstrates "sweetness of malt blended with the gorgeous flavor of wine to create a deep flavor". This expression will only be retailed in Yamagata Prefecture as a result.

A total of 5,000 bottles will be released in 180ml bottles, carrying a 48% ABV and an RRP of 2,970 JPY or 23 USD, having been released on 2 August, 2022. It can be found in Michi-no-Eki, tourist facility shops, and souvenir shops in Yamagata Prefecture.
