Balvenie Unveils Collaboration With Illustrator Victo Ngai For Cask Finished Range: Gift Shaped By The Seasons

 

The Balvenie has partnered with Boundless Brand Design and artist Victo Ngai to create a limited-edition collection centered around its cask finished range.

A Gift Shaped by the Seasons spans five of The Balvenie’s signature whisky expressions  and will be launched globally this month across retail and travel retail channels.

The collection will consist of:

The DoubleWood 12, represented by a peony in bloom. Barley sits at the centre of its composition, surrounded by spring water that gradually transforms into a golden liquid as the seasons pass.

The Caribbean Cask 14 boasts a dahlia framing a spring caterpillar looking towards an autumn butterfly, emerging through fallen leaves and grain.

The Madeira Cask 15 centres on a rose in bloom, with the iconic deerhound of Robbie Dhu watching over the distillery as barley seeds flare into light and creativity awakens.

The Pedro Ximénez Cask 18 features a sunflower at its height, symbolising richness and refinement, with bees gathering through petals of liquid gold while a lone traveller drifts forward on an autumn leaf.

The PortWood 21, said to symbolise maturity and reflection, where two woods shape one story and the rings of time circle back to a single grain.

Ngai was selected for her contemporary illustrative style, which Boundless says perfectly mirrors The Balvenie’s own dedication to patience, skill, and creativity in whisky making.

The creative concept behind the designs frame time as a cyclical force, tracking the rhythm of the four seasons across five exclusive pack designs. Each package is anchored by an anniversary flower and moves clockwise through the changing seasons, serving as a striking visual metaphor for The Balvenie’s deep relationship with time, nature, and craft.

A Gift Shaped by the Seasons will launch globally from May 2026 across retail and travel retail channels.
