Stitzel-Weller Distillery Launches New Series Helmed By 24 Year Old Stitzel Reserve Bourbon

Bourbon fans hang on to your glasses, the historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery has announced a new line of rare Bourbons, helmed by a 24-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey available only at the distillery.
With only 191 bottles of the 24-year-old bourbon up for grabs, the Stitzel Reserve series marks the beginning of a series of small-batch offerings pulled from some of the oldest barrels on-site. It is said to be rich with notes of cracked leather, saddle oil, and burnt sugar.
The first Stitzel Reserve expression was drawn from nine barrels laid down in 1999 in Warehouse B. Future Stitzel Reserve releases will be highly limited, with no fixed schedule; each bottling will be hand-selected based on its maturity and liquid quality. These exclusive releases will only be available for purchase directly at the distillery.
For those interested in a tasting, the Garden & Gun Club on-site offers an experience that includes a pour of the whiskey, a branded glass, a gift bag, and a limited-edition Stitzel-Weller pin.
The historic Stitzel-Weller Distillery, which first opened its doors in 1935, has long been a pivotal player in Bourbon's rich history. After reopening to the public in 2014, it now stands as a key stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. Located just five miles from downtown Louisville, the iconic site is currently owned by Diageo.

The 24 Year Old Stitzel Reserve is bottled at 61.7% ABV and comes in 750 ml bottles, which will be available starting in June only at the distillery. Pricing is also available only at the distillery.
