Rabbit Hole distillery is singing a Seasong with the launch of a new bourbon finished in rum barrels.

The latest release in its Distillery Series, Seasong pays tribute to the age-old tradition of sea-bound rum transportation, wherein sailors voyaged across the Caribbean and brought barrels of rum on their back and forth trips. 

The influence of the rum casks is said to impart aromas of nutmeg, allspice, and ginger awaken the palate, followed by subtle but intriguing scents of oak, blackcurrant, and apple. According to the distillery, consumers can expect a mix of spices against a backdrop of sweet whiskey and flavors of almonds, vanilla and honey, which fade into a sweet finish with notes of rum and sugarcane. 

Rabbit Hole founder and whiskey maker Kaveh Zamanian commented on the new expression: "This series is a canvas for me and our distillers to push the limits of their creativity and expertise, each release in our Distillery Series is truly one-of-a-kind, something you’ve never experienced before...we're thrilled to finally share Seasong and invite our customers to embark on this sensory journey into uncharted horizons."

Bottled at 54.2% ABV, each 375 ml bottle retails at an RRP of $50. Only 2,176 bottles of Seasong will be available for purchase exclusively at Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville, with a limited quantity of 100 bottles available only through rabbitholedistillery.com.
