Mount Gay Releases First Ever Age Statement Rums: Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 15 Year Old & 25 Year Old

The world's oldest rum house Mount Gay has unveiled a historical new collection, the Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged.
Comprising of a pair of rums, 15 Years Old and 25 Years Old, the two rums will be the Saint Lucy distillery's first aged statement products. Prior, the distillery kept the secrets of its maturation close to its chest.
Both expressions are aged entirely in ex-bourbon barrels under the island's tropical climate, with absolutely no added sugar from must to bottling. Specifically, because evaporation of casks in the tropics devours the casks so quickly, the rums in this collection are quite rare in the rum world at their ages.

Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 15 Years Old
Distilled in around 2010 when aged Caribbean rum gained momentum and their respective alcohol content also began to rise, this expression's story is defined by a generational handover between three Master Blenders: Jerry Edwards, Allen Smith, and Trudiann Branker.
Bottled at 43% ABV, there are only 4,942 bottles available worldwide.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Ripe banana, vanilla, toasted almond, caramel and cinnamon.
Palate: Sweet butterscotch, smooth vanilla, caramel, fruitiness and bright orange zest, with notes of cocoa nibs, red plum, citrus and a touch of sea salt.
Finish: Medium and rounded.

Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 25 Years Old
Distilled in 1999, the Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 25 Year Old is a monumental release. A quarter-century journey that captures the pinnacle of Bajan craftsmanship, the expression was also a product made under the watchful eye of the distillery's three master blenders.
After the aging process concluded in 2024, the spirit was carefully prepared until its bottling in January 2026. Bottled at 47% ABV, there are only 2,376 bottles available worldwide.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Tart cherry, rich vanilla and warm oak, contrasted by sea salt, citrus, and dark chocolate.
Palate: Sweet raisin, rich toffee, cinnamon, and earthy roasted nuts, with nuances of orange zest, citrus, nutmeg, cocoa and spiced gingerbread.
Finish: Long and silky.
The Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 15 Year Old has an MSRP of €85, whilst the Mount Gay Exceptionally Aged 25 Year Old has an MSRP of €215, both of which will be available from merchants in June 2026.
