Ichiro's popular Malt & Grain World Whisky which exemplifies the distillery's founder Ichiro Akuto's blending abilities is taking things up a notch by releasing a 111 Proof edition.

Previous editions of the Malt & Grain World Whisky have been kept between 46% (92 Proof) to 48% ABV (96 Proof), hence this will be a big step up, pounding in at 55.5% ABV.

Only single cask, festival commemorative releases, or private bottlings of the World Whisky blend have made it to above the 50% ABV (100 Proof) threshold.

What's more, the new Ichiro's Malt & Grain World Whisky 111 Proof seems to come in a very special label that appears to carry the colour and texture of an autumn leaf, with both the vibrant red hues and the veiny texture that is usually created by using local craft paper.

As usual, this World Whisky will be a combination of Chichibu whisky, as well as whiskies sourced from the major whisky producing countries, Scotland, Ireland, Japan, Canada and the United States.
