As air travel roars back, Japan Airlines (JAL) has something special in store for international first class passengers: a 9-year old Chichibu Japanese single malt whisky.
The 9-year old single malt is composed of whiskies matured in a bourbon barrel and two hogshead and was bottled in March 2020. It was distilled using Tipple barley and was bottled at 50.5% ABV, with a total outturn of 389 bottles.
The bottle is available by the dram inflight (for selected flights) or as a miles rewards redemption item for JAL Class Explorer members, which will be carried out via lottery.
