Whilst it seems that Foursquare might be putting in the closing chapters on their Exceptional Cask Series (ECS), the beloved Barbados rum-maker's collaboration with Italian bottler Velier seems to still be well underway!

Foursquare appears to have a new bottling ready with Velier - titled Indomitas - which features a double maturation of 6 years ex-Bourbon and then 9 years in ex-Cognac, totalling 15 years of age. The double maturation combo of ex-Bourbon and ex-Cognac has of course been a big hit historically in the series with highly sought after expressions like the 2006 and the Sassafras, which makes the Indomitas that much more exciting!

As one fan who got to taste the new Velier Foursquare Indomitas has said, "On the nose, you get that familiar cognac aroma like Dominus and touchstone and other cognac releases. The flavour is a bit more intense and the oak and fruit notes are on the top end! Big oak rumbles through like a freight train next to a house."

The new Velier Foursquare Indomitas is bottled at 62% ABV, distilled in 2010 and bottled for release in October 2025, with a total of 4,800 bottles to be released.
